Today Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reported year to date sales of 10,155 vehicles in 2019 compared to 9,217 vehicles in 2018, representing an increase of 10.2 percent. 2019 signified the first time since 2005 that Volvo Cars Canada had achieved sales volumes higher than 10,000 units.
For the month of December, Volvo Cars Canada sold 960 new units representing a month over month increase of 28.9 percent.
Certified Pre-Owned total sales of 2,618 units in 2019 represented a 20 percent increase year over year, with December sales totalling 206 units, a 27 percent increase month over month.
“2019 represented a year of exceptional growth for the Volvo brand in Canada with a complete product offering of award-winning luxury sedans, wagons and SUVs,” said Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Cars Canada. “We enter 2020 with a strong focus on our T8 engine product range, and look to grow our segment share in the electrified space with the arrival of our first fully-electric SUV, the XC40 Recharge.”
