UK pricing and specification announced for new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S and Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S

The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S, CLA 45 S and CLA 45 S Shooting Brake are available to order now with prices starting from £50,570 for the A 45 S 4MATIC+, £52,145 for the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé and £53,570 for the CLA 45 S Shooting Brake 4MATIC+.

The A 45 S 4MATIC + Plus costs £56,570. The CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Plus Coupé starts at £58,145, while the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Plus Shooting Brake is available from £59,570.

All models also benefit from increased power and torque, with a rise of 34 hp to 421 hp and 20 Nm to 500 Nm. The A 45 S can travel from zero to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, while the CLA 45 S Coupé and CLA 45 S Shooting Brake take 4.0 seconds. Fuel economy in the hatchback is 33.6 mpg (combined) with emissions from 192 g/km CO2, while the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé achieves 34 mpg (combined) and CO2 emissions from 189 g/km. The CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Shooting Brake returns 33.6 mpg (combined) and CO2 emissions from 191 g/km.

Both the A 45 S and CLA 45 S come as standard with AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G dual-clutch transmission and high-performance brakes.

Both the A 45 S 4MATIC+ and the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ come with six AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, Individual and Race. As well as controlling elements such as powertrain, transmission, exhaust and ride, AMG DYNAMICS is now also included. This extends the stabilising functions of the ESPâ system with additional interventions on the all-wheel drive system and steering.
