Nissan Canada Inc. certified as a Great Place to Work®

Participating for the first time, Nissan Canada Inc. has been certified as a Great Place to Work® after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada.

Nissan Canada Inc.’s certification is the result of an anonymous employee survey conducted in September that focused on company culture, workplace experience, rewards, communication and leadership. Nissan places great importance on establishing an inclusive workplace where employees can demonstrate their potential to the fullest.

“The foundation of a great workplace lies in a culture of trust and engagement, a sense of confidence and pride that unites management and employees,” says Steve Milette, president, Nissan Canada Inc. “Earning the Great Place to Work® designation is a huge inspiration.  The results serve as a strong driver to continue investing in our employees’ development while fostering a positive workplace culture.”

To support an atmosphere where employees feel a sense of belonging and camaraderie, several employee-led initiatives have emerged, empowering employees to innovate and work autonomously toward cultural transformation. Nissan Canada Inc. also encourages a healthy work-life balance with a vast array of employees’ benefits such as summer flex hours, virtual office policy, allotted work days to volunteer in the community and on-site fitness center with certified instructors.

Nissan Canada scored especially high in the dimensions of fairness and inclusion, as well as camaraderie. This is reflective of Nissan Canada’s welcoming, friendly and fair workplace where employees’ diverse perspectives are listened to, respected and valued, and where diversity and equality are at the heart of its collective success.

This certification comes in addition to the Universum Canadian Top 100 Ideal Employer award received earlier this year, and recognizes Nissan Canada’s high standards in terms of leadership, employees’ experience and inclusive work environment. Being certified as a Great Place to Work® reinforces Nissan Canada’s brand reputation as an attractive employer, where talents come to develop and grow.
