Croatian Upstart Rimac Marks Milestone with Ultra-Exclusive Hypercar

In the picturesque outskirts of Zagreb, a small team of engineers and dreamers have spent the last 15 years defying expectations. Now, Rimac Automobili is celebrating its journey from garage project to global powerhouse with a limited run of just nine bespoke Nevera hypercars.

“We’ve come a long way since I was tinkering with my old BMW,” chuckles Mate Rimac, the company’s founder and CEO. His eyes gleam as he runs a hand along the sleek curves of the anniversary model. “This car embodies every lesson, every late night, every doubter we proved wrong.”

The Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition is a striking beast. Its matte copper paint catches the Croatian sunlight, a nod to both celebration and the car’s electrical heart. Up close, the intricacy of the visible carbon fiber split becomes apparent – a testament to Rimac’s obsession with materials and weight savings.

Inside, the hypercar is a cocoon of luxury and technology. Copper accents adorn the switchgear, while the seats are embossed with a subtle “15” on the headrests. “It’s about creating something truly special for our most passionate customers,” explains Monika Mikac, Rimac’s Chief Operating Officer.

But make no mistake – this is no mere showpiece. The Nevera remains a record-breaking machine, having set 27 performance benchmarks in the past year alone. Its four electric motors, one per wheel, unleash a combined 1,914 horsepower. The result? A car that can rocket from 0-60 mph in under two seconds, leaving traditional supercars in its silent wake.

Industry analysts have taken notice. “What Porsche increases stake in Rimac to 15.5 percent,” says Antonia Klier, senior automotive correspondent for Auto Europa. “They’ve not only built a world-class hypercar, but they’ve become a technological powerhouse supplying other manufacturers. It’s a Croatian success story that’s reverberating across the continent.”

The company’s rapid growth – now boasting over 2,000 employees across four countries – hasn’t come without challenges. Supply chain issues and the complexities of cutting-edge battery development have tested the team’s resolve. Yet, as evidenced by the polished sheen of the anniversary Nevera, Rimac continues to deliver.

As the sun sets over the sprawling Rimac Campus, Mate Rimac’s gaze turns to the future. “This car represents our past,” he muses, “but it’s also a launchpad. The next 15 years? They’re going to be even more exciting.”

With a price tag of €2.35 million and a waiting list of eager collectors, the Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition is sure to become an instant classic. For Rimac, it’s both a celebration and a statement – proof that with enough passion and ingenuity, even the wildest automotive dreams can become reality.
